Our client, a leader who specialize in engineering services and fabrication for mining, industrial, water and mineral processing sectors, have an exciting opportunity for a Paint Blaster to join their well-established team located in Wangara!

This role is Monday - Thursday 6.30am-3pm and Friday 6.30am-12.40pm and offers a competitive hourly rate of $44 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading)!

Key responsibilities:

  • Surface Preparation involving cleaning rust, dirt, and old paint using solvent and brushes
  • Operating abrasive blasting equipment (like blast pots) to prepare surfaces for coatings.
  • Applying primers and finish coats using airless, conventional, or plural spray systems, as well as brushes/rollers.
  • Safely using spray guns, blast pots, and other construction tools.
  • Mixing paints to correct colors and consistency.
  • Ensuring consistent mileage and adherence to project specifications.
  • Reading drawings/blueprints, stenciling identification, and labeling materials.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Drivers licence and reliable vehicle
  • Proven painting and blasting experience
  • Have flexibility with working hours and availability to work weekends if required
  • Great punctuality and time management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Rights to work in Australia
